JDi Data is committed to retaining a strong community presence, which is why we’re proud to announce that we will be sponsoring the Kiwanis Club of Lauderdale Lakes’ 19th annual Grand Charity Ball on November 4, 2017. The Kiwanis club has a long history of promoting and providing local community services that date back to 1915.
Since its inception, the Kiwanis Club has spread out across 96 different nations and become one of the largest community-driven volunteer efforts in the world. Every year, Kiwanis devotes hundreds of thousands of hours to community service, while raising millions of dollars to help those in need.
One of the greatest parts about the Kiwanis, is that they respond directly to the needs of their community. Because of this, each chapter has different goals that they seek to achieve on their way towards creating a better world.
One of the unique things about the Kiwanis Club of Lauderdale Lakes, is that they share a direct connection with the Caribbean chapter, which allows them to retain international status provide relief efforts outside of the United States. Their efforts have resulted in them winning Distinguished Club every year since 1998, as well as Florida District Kiwanis Club of the Year for two consecutive years in a row.
As part of their relief efforts, the Lauderdale Lakes chapter provides child mentoring services, social assistance to the elderly, and a variety of youth-oriented sports programs. The Grand Charity Ball stands as their primary fundraiser for the year, with 100% of proceeds going directly to a charity that is both local and Caribbean based.
In the past, JDi Data has regularly participated in the local Kiwanis tennis tournaments, but this will mark the first occasion that we will be sponsors at the Grand Charity Ball. To show our support, JDi Data’s Founder/Chairman James DeRosa, and CEO Joe Wolczanski will be attending as guests.
For others who are interested in attending, the event will commence at the Hyatt Regency Pier in Ft. Lauderdale, FL at 7 pm. Tickets are $125 and live entertainment will be provided by the Fab Five Band, a Jamaican based group that has been churning out hits since 1970. We can’t wait for the party to get started, and look forward to seeing everyone there.
